MeCoSim installation
Java 1.8 required; included in Path
About Windows
To install:
- 1) Just press Install button. A jar file is downloaded.
- 2) Execute the jar file and follow the instructions driven by MeCoSim install form. (Just by double-clicking over the jar file, or from the command line, navigating to the file just downloaded, then typing java -jar MeCoSimInstaller.jar).
- 3) A MeCoSim shortcut will be created in your desktop, ready to run.
- 4) Whenever this icon is pressed, MeCoSim will download and install any new available updates.
About Linux
To install:
- 1) If you are an Ubuntu user, Oracle Java is recommended, but Open JDK + IcedTea should also work. If your Java version is not detected or it is not installed, please follow these instructions.
- 2) Then press Install button again to install MeCoSim.
- 3) Execute the jar file and follow the instructions driven by MeCoSim install form. (Just by double-clicking over the jar file, or from the command line, navigating to the file just downloaded, then typing java -jar MeCoSimInstaller.jar).
- 4) A MeCoSim shortcut will be created in your desktop, ready to run.
About Mac OS X
To install:
- 1) If your Java version is not detected or it is not installed, please follow these instructions.
- 2) Then press Install button again to install MeCoSim.
- 3) Execute the jar file and follow the instructions driven by MeCoSim install form. (Just by double-clicking over the jar file, or from the command line, navigating to the file just downloaded, then typing java -jar MeCoSimInstaller.jar).
- 4) Run from MeCoSim dir: "CreateShortcut_Mac.command".
